Frank who had been a keen painter in his youth took up painting again after retirement from the NHS swapping a scalpel for a paintbrush.
He is self taught - that’s art not medicine!!
An admirer of Turner and Impressionism most of his ‘dawbs’ are landscapes particularly as he isn’t very good at portraiture [but he is getting better thanks to some patient friends!]
He works mostly with acrylics as the quick drying means rapid composition and the brushes can be cleaned with tap water rather than chemicals!
Frank’s home studio is small [see photo] and if he ever sells any work he will save up to buy a hut in the garden!!
